The Sponged Gatsby
Signet publishes cheap, trade paperback versions of classic books. (You know, the small, poorly printed ones from your sophomore English class?) This cover features a photograph of a vintage car apparently driven through Photoshop’s sponge filter.
The blue and yellow color scheme pays homage to the original cover. The subtle skyline background is actually kind of nice.
The grill of the automobile features a cheesy GG monogram. (For what it’s worth, the novel never references the phrase “Great Gatsby” outside the title, and the modest Jay Gatsby would have never affixed such grand appellation to his car.)
